This hike starts from a nice valley called el-Makrour. It extends from Beit Jala city all the way to the village of Battir. The hike is suitable for families if you plan to spend a few hours hiking in nature. Once you reach Battir, you will be mesmerized by the ancient agricultural terraces that are a UNESCO world heritage site.

1. The Roman Pool

Altitude: 639 m

Every family in Battir gets their share of water once every 8 days for irrigation purposes.

2. el-'Ein Spring

Altitude: 659 m

The main spring in the village. It always has a running water.

3. The Terrace's Cafe al Jenan

Altitude: 641 m

    Great easy track, thank you! The Terrace Cafe has good Mezze dishes and delicious bread. We took the dirt road back which was 7km and had a sunset salad in the Jala Jungle.
